Jesus alone has the words of eternal life in the kingdom of God. John 12:49 – I have not spoken on my own but the Father who sent me has himself given me a commandment about what to say and I know that his commandment is eternal life. Peter in John 6:68 says to Jesus “Lord, to whom can we go? You have the words of eternal life. We have come to believe and know that you are the holy one of God”. There is a connection between the word of God and our entrance into life of the age to come in the kingdom of God.
