Tribute to LaBreeska Hemphill
LaBreeska Rogers Hemphill has spent her life ministering through gospel music. LaBreeska made her debut in gospel music at the age of nine. She first sang on stage with her mother and her mother’s family, “The Happy Goodman’s,” in the city of Nashville, Tennessee. Her first stage appearance was at the famous Ryman Auditorium the original home of the Grand Ole Opry as well as the monthly Friday night Gospel singings. Deep Christian faith and values were a constant in LaBreeska’s life thanks to her two spirit-filled grandmothers, Mama Goodman and Mama Rogers.
In addition to LaBreeska Hemphill’s successful music career she is the author of two books “The Hemphills: Partners in Emotion – The Story of God’s Grace in the Lives of Joel and LaBreeska Hemphill” and “My Daddy Played The Guitar.” She also writes Christian articles as seen in “Christian Voice Magazine” and “21st Century Reformation Online.”
LaBreeska, wife – mother – singer – author – pastor’s wife – and featured member of the Gaither Homecoming Videos, has wonderful words of encouragement and faith to share. She has a passion for God and for His Son our Lord Jesus. We are honored to bring some of LaBreeska’s speaking and writings to our viewers. LaBreeska Hemphill is now deceased.
