What is the “word” that John has in mind in his prologue: John 1:1-18? J. Dan Gill states, “John is his own best commentator,” and tells us that 1st John 1 holds important keys for rightly understanding John 1. Without considering 1st John carefully, a person will be less likely to grasp what John intended by the famous words in the opening of his gospel.
