Sean FinneganLiteral and Notional Pre-existence:Crossroads for the Incarnation Debate21st Century Reformation contributor Sean Finnegan of Rhode Island gives a careful / methodic overview of the question of incarnation and the nature of Christ's preexistence. Did Jesus preexist himself as a "literal" being or in a "notional" sense? Sean makes a persuasive case that Christ pre-existed notionally in the plan and mind of God - not literally as has been held by religious tradition. This writing should be added to your collection on "John 1." |
